how to read encoder

i am connecting increamental encoder to first channel of RCM 3400 module but 9000 PPR encoder never meet count 9000 count, it is much greater than this value. what changes i should make in R3000 lib file so get 9000,count at one revolution.

I think that the quadrature encoder input circuitry multiplies the pulse count by 4 because there are 4 edges ((pulse a + pulse b) x (rising edge + falling edge)) being processed. I do not think the rabbit 3000 allows any different counting modes. Take a look at the data sheet for the Avago HCTL 2022 to see more about this idea.
