RE: Important Product Update
We have installed new connectors on the BL2000 and added
connector options to better serve our customers.
Significant customer preferences expressed in our recent
Connectors Survey (conducted via our website) have prompted
Rabbit to (1) implement a change in our standard connectors
on the BL2000 and (2) make other connector options available.
The standard connectors on the BL2000 Wildcat SBC will now
be outfitted with 14 AWG (1.5 mm2) wire screw terminals, rather
than the smaller connectors originally specified. This minor
modification will better facilitate development of applications
in and for the European market, as well as make the BL2000
connectors consistent with those of Z·World's BL2100
SBC.
The new connectors will have a slightly higher profile (by
0.2") than the original connectors-but they still will
not be the highest point on the board. New connector options
now available include IDC headers or Molex pluggable connectors.
